Introduction

STRECON A/S has a long history developing, engineering, and manufacturing tooling solutions based on the stripwinding technology. These tooling solutions are applied to a rather broad range of high pressure applications that among other things benefit from the unique strength properties of stripwound tools. Initially the stripwinding technology was applied for high-loaded cold forging tools but has over the years matured to a much broader range of applications. In addition to the stripwound tooling solutions, STRECON has recently taken up a new field of interest, namely the machinery business. Today we are active in three product areas. The first area is Robot Assisted Polishing (RAP) and represents a new type of machine tool developed for surface polishing of tools and components. The machine tool is today applicable to polishing of workpieces with 2D geometry. The other new field is the exclusive distributorship of the German machine builder Felss GmbH in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. The agency deals with rotary swaging machines and axial forming machines sold both as single machine units and as complete production lines. The third area is the new tool assembly press that is a very compact and flexible press unit developed specifically for tool assembly and tool adjustment.
