STRECON for Cold, Warm, and Hot Forging

The STRECON stripwound container was originally developed as a high-strength tool solution for cold precision forging applications requiring a higher tool loadability than would be possible with a normal stress ring. Today, the STRECON stripwound container is applied for cold, warm, and hot precision forging applications.

The STRECON container technology is mostly applied for rotation-symmetric steel parts like axles, housings, gear parts, inner races, bevel gears, joints, yokes, sockets, valves, spark plugs, special bolts, and many other parts. But increasingly we design and build stripwound container solutions for cold, warm, and hot forging of parts made of aluminium, titanium parts, brass, etc. Furthermore, we also increasingly design and build container solutions for non-symmetrical parts like yokes, rectangle housings, cooling elements, etc.

Because of the general trend towards larger and even more complex parts made by precision forging processes, STRECON is able to assist the customer with tooling solutions for even the most advanced inquiries. Currently, STRECON has a success rate of approx. 85% measured as new tooling projects that are approved by the individual customer after production testing.

Please feel welcome to submit your inquiry for our initial and free-of-charge application review. An easy way is to use the "Contact" link and fill in the inquiry sheet.
